CPS Research has been helping patients by conducting clinical research studies since 1988. We are now studying a new treatment that hopes to prevent migraines in children who suffer from them.
This study involves taking the study treatment regularly to assess whether the treatment reduces the average number of migraine days experienced in a month. Are migraines affecting your child's life? We want to find out whether this study treatment could help your child, and others like yours, enjoy life more.
By taking our short online survey, you can find out if your child / family member would be eligible to take part in this study.
From time off work or school to missing out on social plans, migraines can be debilitating and can have a big impact on life.
Migraines tend to run in families. If one parent has them, there's a 50% chance the child will too.
Migraine symptoms can vary from person to person. They can include nausea, vomiting and light / noise sensitivity.
Migraines can be triggered by stress, anxiety, lack of sleep, changes to eating habits or caffeine.
Migraines are typically characterised by pulsating headaches in one area that last from 2 - 72 hours.
This clinical research study is investigating a preventative treatment for migraines for those children who suffer from them.
A new research treatment hopes to help to prevent the number of migraines in a typical month.
The study will involve regular doses of the study treatment over the course of an initial 12 week period.
If your child regularly suffers from migraines or experiences headaches accompanied by symptoms like nausea & light / noise sensitivity, they could be eligible to take part in this important research.
This study involves regular visits to a local clinic over the course of the study. You will be reimbursed for reasonable out of pocket expenses including travel and parking incurred because of the study.
If your child's life is interrupted by migraines or headaches that are accompanied by other symptoms such as nausea or light / noise sensitivity, they could play their part in this important research.
